How It Works

   Enter your VIN

   Type your vehicle's 17-character VIN into the lookup form. We accept lowercase letters and ignore spaces or hyphens automatically.

2. 02

   We decode it with NHTSA

   Our server validates the VIN and requests decoded vehicle data from NHTSA's public vPIC database — the same source used across the auto industry for basic VIN decoding.

3. 03

   We show what's available

   You'll see the year, make, model, and any other fields NHTSA has on file for that VIN. We only display fields that actually contain data.

4. 04

   Request the original sticker

   NHTSA identifies your vehicle, but it doesn't provide the original factory window sticker document itself. If you need that, we connect you to Monroney Decals, our retrieval partner.
