Where Can I Find My VIN?

Modern vehicles use a 17-character VIN. You can typically find it in these places:

• Driver-side dashboard

  Look through the windshield at the base, on the driver's side.

• Driver-side door jamb

  Open the driver's door and check the sticker on the door frame.

• Vehicle registration

  Your state registration document lists the VIN.

• Insurance documents

  Your insurance card or policy typically includes the VIN.

• Title

  Your vehicle's title document lists the VIN.
